FUNDING

The Morgan County Coalition for Literacy (MCCL) has relied on several financial sources to help promote its mission. These have included an annual Adult Spelling Bee fundraiser, financial grants, and individual Memorials.

Our funds are managed by The Community Foundation of Morgan County (CFMC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves as our fiscal agent.

In the past, contributions to MCCL have been used to purchase supplies for our volunteer tutors in working with their adult students to improve their literacy skills and to help students working on their high school equivalency diplomas. A portion of funds also have been used to purchase Christmas book giveaways for Churches in Mission and the Indiana Rail Road Company’s Santa Train.
